The 2005 Ryan Parrish Memorial scholarship was awarded to Jon Whedon, a graduate of Centennial High school in 2005. Jon is attending the University of Portland where he is majoring in Engineering. He was also awarded a near full wide scholarship by the United States Air Force. After completing his 4 years of studies at the U of P, he will enter the Air Force, with rank, and be a pilot.

The first Annual Ryan R. Parrish Memorial Aeronautical Scholarship was awarded to Christopher Kapelczak, a 2004 graduating Senior at Centennial High School in Gresham. The Scholarship was awarded at the annual Senior's Banquet Award Ceremony at Centennial in May 2003.

Ryan graduated in 1994 from Centennial High.

Christopher will be attending Mt. Hood Community College where he will pursue his goal of being a Commercial Airplane Pilot.

Each year, a scholarship will be awarded to a graduating Senior of Centennial High who plans to pursue a degree in Aeronautics. For information can be obtained by contacting the counseling staff at Centennial or emailing Ryan's parents at Beth@RyanParrish.com.

The Ryan R. Parrish Memorial Scholarship fund will be a warding a $500.00 scholarship in the Spring of 2004 to a graduating Senior of Centennial High school who will be pursuing a degree in Aeronautics. This is the first year to award a scholarship in his memory. It coincides with the 10 year anniversary of Ryan's graduation from Centennial High School.
